It changed everything...

There's something magical about stumbling across a piece of history and breathing new life into it. That's exactly what happened when I found a dusty Super 8 camera on Facebook marketplace for $20. It felt like fate - like this little relic was just waiting for someone to pick it up and let it roll again.

I didn't know if it even worked. The odds weren't in my factor The manual was yellowed and worn, the film rolls were expensive, and there was every chance that my effort would come back as nothing but blank frames. But something in me - a quiet pull towards nostalgia, toward the way film feels - whispered that it was worth the risk.

So I bought the film, loaded it with careful hands, and carried it with me to two weddings.

Filming On Faith Like It's 1972...

Here's the thing about Super 8: there's no screen, no instant playback, no way to know if you're getting it right. You just press the shutter and trust your eye - and maybe your heart.

I filmed two entire weddings before ever sending the film off. Two full days of love, laughter, and fleeting moments captured on faith alone.

At each wedding, I found myself slowing down. The bridesmaids fixing eachothers curls. The bride running around the girls room barefoot. The group tupping his head back in laughter as his friends raced across the yard.

I held my breath after each roll, hoping these memories weren't lost to the void.

Weeks later, the scans arrived. My stomach turned as I clicked the link.

And then -

Light. Grain. Movement. Magic.

It worked. It all worked. I could've cried.

Dawn & Derek on Super 8 Film

A love story that hums softly on Super 8. Dawn & Derek's wedding day- preserved forever in flickers of golden light, grainy frames, and quiet magic. This isn't just a film, it's a memory you can hold.

Why Super 8?

Super 8 isn't perfect - and that's exactly why it's beautiful.

It flickers. It hums. It captures your day like a memory you didn't know you had. It's tender and raw in a way digital alone can't touch.

These films don't just preserve your wedding day - they give it the feeling of something eternal, like a home video you'll one day pass down.

Keron & Tera on Super 8

A wedding day that felt like a movie. Keron and Tera's story, captured on a $20 super 8 camera, now alive in soft light and grainy magic. Because some love deserves to live on film.

The Beginning of Something New...

Those first two weddings changed how I see this work. That little $20 camera became a doorway into storytelling with more soul, more warmth, more of what matters most.
