The Space Still Unfolding

The garden is quiet now. The basil has gone to seed. The cucumbers, stubborn and bitter, gave their last fruits a week ago. And yet I know- just beneath the surface, there's life humming. Roots deepening. Seeds waiting for the shift in season. It's almost time for a second round for a Fall Harvest.

This is how I think of stories too.

They are never static.

Even in stillness, they're growing- waiting for the right light, the right hands, the right season to bloom.

A Tending of Stories

When I first dreamed up The Monstera Press, I imagined it as a place to hold things tenderly. To press fleeting moments between pages like petals, and to send them out into the world as small, quiet letters.

But it's becoming more than that. It's becoming a garden of its own- a place for love stories, motherhood memories, and the soft , golden hours of ordinary days.

And just like any garden, it's growing in directions I didn't expect.

Weddings That Breathe

This season, I've been tending to my wedding offerings- pulling back what no longer fits and planting new seeds in its place. These aren't packages lined in neat rows; they're collections built for the way memory moves. Gentle. Unpredictable. Alive.

You can have as little or as much as your story calls for- whether it's four hours in the hush of an elopement, or ten hours wrapped in celebration with two photographers catching every tender glance.

And always, the promise is the same: your love, kept whole and honest, like sunlight bottled in glass.

The Return to Film

There's a kind of magic to film. The way it asks you to slow down. To trust the unseen. To let go of perfect and make space for real.

This year, I've found my hands drawn back to the weight of analog cameras- the grain of 35mm, the soft instant nostalgia of Polaroids, and the cinematic hum of Super 8 reels.

  • A roll of 35mm here and there, slipped into your day.
  • A handful of Polaroids, their edges curling over time.
  • A full film overlay, documenting every hour with intention.
  • Or a Super 8 film- 2 or 3 minutes of light and movement that feels like a memory itself.

Each option is less about quantity and more about care. About choosing to preserve your story that feels alive decades later.

Stories in Motion

Beau Haus Films came from a longing: to give your memories breath. To let you hear the laughter again, watch your dress catch the wind, feel your father's hand squeeze yours at the altar.

Whether it's a short highlight film or a full cinematic piece, these aren't just videos- they're stories made to be watched with your grandchildren.

And when paired with photographs, they don't compete. The compliment. Together, they tell you the whole truth.

What Comes Next

  • A full guide to Super 8- what it is, how it works, why it feels so different.
  • Thoughts on combining photo & film into one seamless experience.
  • Ways to build documentation that feels like you: intentional, layered, & timeless.

This isn't about offering more. It's about offering enough.

The right care. The right details.

A garden tended with both hands.

If you're dreaming of a photo & film experience that feels like you, I'd love to share more about what's possible. You can explore my wedding collections, film offerings, and a la carte details here ---> https://www.sbeauproductions.com/investment/

A Closing Note

The stories aren't finished. The garden isn't still. And I hope, when you visit The Monstera Press, you'll feel something tender growing here- whether you're planning your wedding, holding your firstborn close, or simply trying to remember how this season of life felt.

Here's to what comes next. May it bloom wildly, exactly how it's meant to be.

Xoxo,

Samantha
