There's a moment I keep coming back to. Her hand resting on his shoulder, light spilling across a wooden floor, the faint hum of music drifting in through an open door.

A photograph would've held the stillness of it- the way the sunlight caught her hair, the delicate curve of her fingers.

A film would have held the movement- the soft trace of his thumb over her knuckles, the small intake of breath before they both laughed.

But together? Together they hold the whole memory.

This is why I believe in both.

Our stories are never made of stillness alone. They're made of motion. Of sounds. Of the way a breeze lifts the edge of a dress or a child's voice echoes across the lawn.

Photographs give us the gift of pause- frames pressed between pages like petals. Films give us the gift of flow- a living, breathing reminder of what it felt like to be there. When you choose both, you aren't choosing more. You're choosing fullness.

There's a reason I tuck rolls of 35mm film into my bag on weddings days. Film asks me to slow down. To watch. To wait for the moment instead of chasing it. You can feel it in the images- tiny imperfections, soft grain, the quiet depth of analog light. There's no preview screen. No do-over. Just trust.

Polaroids, too, carry their own kind of magic. Instant little squares you can hold in your hands, their edges curling with time, becoming softer and sweater as the years pass.

And then there's Super 8.

Super 8 isn't just moving pictures. It's memory caught in a way that feels... truer somehow. The flicker of the frame. The gentle hum of the reel. The nostalgia baked right into its grain. When woven between still photographs. Super 8 becomes the heartbeat of a story. A love letter written in motion.

Your story deserves to be told like this- layered, tender, honest, Whether you choose photographs alone, film alone, or both together, my work will always be about one thing: preserving how it felt.

Because years from now, when you're holding hands in a kitchen full of quiet mornings and loud memories, you'll want more than just proof that it happened.

You'll want to feel it again.

And I hope, when you do, that these stories- these still frames. these moving images- will bring it all rushing back like sunlight through a half-open window.
